Kretzmer Seed

Associate Director of Content Production and Publication

Nina Kretzmer Seed is the Associate Director of Content Production and Publication at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America. She is the Managing Editor of Sources: A Journal of Jewish Ideas and Production Assistant of TEXTing IRL – Ideas for Real Life. She also manages program operations for the Kogod Research Center.

Nina is passionate about the many ways in which learners can encounter and grapple with ideas. To that end, she has implemented educational programming and overseen programmatic excellence across the Institute. She participated in the editing of the Foundations for a Thoughtful Judaism curriculum. She also was a member of the Hitkansut North America Design Team, helping to edit its Hitkansut Haggadah and administering its publication as a resource for the commemoration of the Shoah.

As a Jim Joseph Fellow, Nina earned two Master’s degrees through the Dual Master’s Program in Jewish Education at New York University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary and from Barnard College, and has studied at Yeshivat Hadar.

Nina lives in Riverdale, NY with her husband and daughter.
