Sometimes you need the help of others to see yourself clearly. In this session, David Zvi Kalman looks at a medieval Muslim scholar’s attempt to explain Jewish law to other Muslims. In the process, we learn some of the basics of Islamic law and try to appreciate the difficulties that arise when one culture makes an honest attempt to understand another.
