David Dishon has a Master of Arts in Jewish history from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

David co-founded Shalom Hartman Institute’s Charles E. Smith High School in 1985, where he currently directs and teaches Jewish Studies.

His publications include two books in Hebrew, The Culture of Dissent in Judaism, (1984) and The Skeptic shall live by his Faith (2013) and co-authorship of the innovative haggadah, A Different Night: The Family Participation Haggadah.
