Mishael Zion is Faculty of the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America and the Director of the Mandel Leadership Institute’s Program for Leadership in Israeli Jewish Culture. The COVID Ethicist: Revisiting Pandemic Dilemmas as Key to the Future

The pandemic led us to situations we never thought we’d have to face; medical, moral, financial, and human dilemmas were thrust upon us, forcing us to revisit our priorities, seek out counsel from new types of authorities, and seek inspiration while isolated from our communities.

Using the age-old tradition of questions and answers – from Halakhic authorities to the New York Times Ethicist column – Mishael Zion revisits the dilemmas we faced, and mine these experiences as inspiration for our future.
