Created Equal Student Seminar

The Created Equal Student Seminar engaged a cohort of future Jewish professionals in thinking critically about ethical Jewish leadership for the 21st century.

  • How do we bridge the gap between our values and how leadership is exercised in North American Jewish life?
  • What are the systemic problems that keep us from realizing ethical leadership in our community?
  • How does the issue of gender inequity relate to other challenges within our Jewish leadership landscape?

The seminar included two in-person leadership seminars in New York City, February 6-7, 2017 and May 22, 2017 and three evening learning sessions with Hartman scholars on March 1, March 22 and April 26, 2017.

This program was designed for young professionals, students enrolled in graduate programs focused on Jewish communal leadership, and rabbinical students.

You care about Israel, peoplehood, and vibrant, ethical Jewish communities. We do too.
