In  the pilot episode on Loss and Uncertainty, Elana and Christine turn to the Talmud in tractate Hagigah to address the shock, disbelief, alienation, and despair that Israelis and Jews worldwide have endured since the devastation on October 7 and the subsequent Israel-Hamas War.
