Born in Moscow, Lana Zilberman Soloway grew up in Netanya and served in the Intelligence Unit of the Southern Commend in the Gaza Strip. She holds a BA in East Asian Culture from the Hebrew University, BMus in Piano Performance and Voice from the Jerusalem Music Academy, and an MA in Professional Jewish Studies from Spertus Institute in Chicago. She has worked in the field of informal Jewish Education, as a tour educator and guide, group leader, lecturer, and facilitator, in Israel, Europe, and the USA. In addition, she teaches personal growth courses, is a peace activist, and an active member of the Reform Movement in Israel. Lana lives in Mevasseret Zion with her husband Daniel and their two children, Talya Doron and Shalev Yehonatan.
