Rabbi Ethan Linden is the Vice President of Wellspring at Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, where he leads our work with youth, young adults, and the professionals who work with them. He was previously the Director of Educational Operations and Design.
Ethan grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has spent most his adult life figuring out how to live in a place like Squirrel Hill. He graduated from Cornell University with a degree in International Relations and Ethics–a major he basically made up. He was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2007.
He has worked as the Assistant Director of Ramah New England, a pulpit rabbi in New Orleans, and the Director of Ramah Berkshires. He has a very large board game collection and lives in Riverdale with his wife Liba, a teacher at SAR Academy and their three children.
