Modern Hebrew Poetry: History According to Nathan Alterman (Session 1)

Almost every Friday for nearly thirty years, the poems of Nathan Alterman echoed the reality of Israel, from the pre-state years through the early decades of the young state. He reacted to minute events such as the arrival of the millionth new immigrant. He wrote about glorious achievements and did not shy away from bitter critique when needed.

In this session Rachel Korazim will explore some of the hundreds of poems that form the poetic history book known as the “Seventh Column.”

Session two takes place on Thurs, December 3
