Donniel Hartman Receives Third Commonwealth Prize from Congregation Kehillath Israel, Brookline, MA

The prize honored him as a ‘significant change-agent’ for the Jewish people

Congregation Kehillath Israel of Brookline, MA, awarded Donniel Hartman the Third Commonwealth Prize for being a "significant change-agent for the Jewish people" on May 25, 2016.

Donniel Hartman, as President of the Shalom Hartman Institute, was honored "for the peerless work that the Institute does to strengthen the bonds between Israeli and North American Jewry."

    Kehillath Israel annually awards three prizes to champions of their values

    In addition to the Third Commonwealth Prize, the community honored inclusion with the Dignity of Difference Prize (Haben Girma, 2016 recipient), and those who encourage people to smile upon Judaism, with the Joy of Judaism Prize (Anita Diamant, 2016 recipient).
