The Shalom Hartman Institute is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Tal Becker to the role of Vice President and Senior Faculty of the Institute. Tal’s decades of experience as a legal expert, peace negotiator, and thought leader in the Jewish world and beyond, as well as his moral voice, creativity and wisdom will be invaluable to the work of the Institute. We are at a pivotal moment in Jewish history where the meaning and mission of Zionism, the vitality of Jewish peoplehood, and the moral and spiritual directions of Jewish life in Israel and around the world are all being challenged and questioned.

We desperately need new and innovative thinking and inspired leaders. Tal will play a critical role in all elements of the Institute’s work, and we wish him great success and fulfillment in this new stage in his remarkable career in the pursuit of peace and in service to Israel and the Jewish people.
