Rabbinical Students in Jerusalem Invited to Hartman Retreat

Seminar in November 2014 to deal with Israeli-Palestinian conflict

 
Rabbinical students in Jerusalem from different denominations and countries are invited to a weekend retreat from November 20-22, 2014, at the Shalom Hartman Institute to study Israel and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict. Register now.
 

The seminar will comprise three components:
  • Study sessions on the theme of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, taught through a Hartman values-based perspective.
  • Traditional Torah text study.
  • Processing sessions, which will complement the learning and will serve as a platform for participants to reflect on the experience in Israel.
Faculty at the retreat will include such Hartman Institute scholars as Donniel Hartman, Melila Hellner-Eshed, and Tal Becker, as well as guest lecturers including Tamar Elad-Appelbaum and Michael Marmur.
 
The seminar will take place from Thursday afternoon through Motz’ei Shabbat. Registration fee of $40 includes educational program, printed source material, meals, and snacks.
