Rabbanut Yisraelit Ordains 22 New Rabbis in Jerusalem

Mazal tov to the 4th cohort of rabbis to be ordained by the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem
Mazal tov to the 4th Cohort of newly-ordained rabbis from the Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis, a partnership between the Shalom Hartman Institute and HaMidrasha at Oranim, who join our thriving network of Israeli rabbis (Rabbanut Yisraelit)! These 22 new rabbis represent all streams of Judaism and are now equipped to serve their communities as leaders and educators, reinforcing the diversity of Jewish life in Israel.
“People need a Torah that listens, a Torah that is ready to change, a Torah that is respectful,” said Donniel Hartman to the graduates at their ordination ceremony in Jerusalem on Tuesday, September 17. “I am filled with hope and admiration of the 22 new amazing rabbis in this cohort. It is a privilege to share blessings of welcome with them as they join Hartman’s global rabbinic network for the Jewish people,” added Lauren Berkun.
