For the 2024-2025 academic year, we offer three paid internship tracks and an additional paid leadership opportunity tailored to specific areas of interest and skills.
In addition to internship responsibilities, all interns are invited and expected to participate in two summits (Aug 14-16, 2024 and Jan 19-21, 2025) designed to facilitate job training, foster personal growth, and build a supportive community.
Are you interested in inspiring the next generation of young Jewish leaders? As a Madrich/a (facilitator) for the Teen Fellowship, you will support a shevet (cohort) of 15-18 Teen Fellows and help guide them through the year’s educational program. The Teen Fellowship runs from Fall 2024 to Spring 2025.
Do you want to intern with world-renowned scholars researching the most pressing issues facing Israel and the Jewish people today at the Shalom Hartman Institute’s think tank? The Internship in Applied Scholarship is for intellectually curious, motivated students passionate about scholarship and its application of critical questions facing the Jewish people.
Learn about the ins and outs of Jewish organizational life while developing professional skills in a particular field. Each intern develops skills in a particular area of nonprofit organizational leadership, including marketing, podcast production, and nonprofit administration, while being mentored by staff at the Shalom Hartman Institute and learning with world-renowned faculty.
Become a Hartman leader on your campus! This semester-long internship will begin with an intensive seminar in August. After learning from Hartman faculty and developing a peer network, you will return to campus inspired and empowered to bring these ideas and scholarship back to your campus by planning community events and programs or inviting friends and classmates to coffee conversations
Applicants must have prior Hartman experience.
