David Hartman Center Fellow

Dr. Zalman Rothschild is a member of the inaugural cohort of North American David Hartman Center Fellows.

Zalman earned a BA in Jewish Studies from Binghamton University, an MA in Jewish Philosophy from Yeshiva University, and a Ph.D. in Modern Jewish Thought from New York University. He was a Tikvah Scholar at the Tikvah Center for Law & Jewish Civilization at New York University School of Law, and a fellow at the Center for Jewish Law and Contemporary Civilization at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Zalman served as scholar-in-residence at Park Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan. In 2016-17, Zalman was the inaugural Julis-Rabinowitz Fellow at Harvard Law School, where he is also earning a JD, and served as Teaching Fellow in American Political Thought at Harvard College.

He will be a post-doctoral researcher at the Katz Center of the University of Pennsylvania in the spring of 2018.
