OneTable

Tirtzah Bassel is an artist and educator who creates spaces and experiences that move people to see the familiar in unexpected ways. Tirtzah is the Vice President of Partnerships and Jewish Learning at OneTable. Prior to OneTable, Tirtzah was a Program Director at Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah, where she focused on original programming for the foundation’s convenings and strategic collaborations. Previously, she was the assistant director of the Brandeis Institute of Music and Art at Brandeis University. She was also the founding director of PopUp for Change, a summer program based at the 14th Street Y that brought together NYC teens to learn design thinking and apply it to social justice projects in response to community needs.

Tirtzah holds an MFA from Boston University, and she studied drawing and painting at the Jerusalem Studio School in Israel. Her drawings, paintings, and site-specific duct tape installations engage with political and social realities and have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
