Dr. Naama Golan is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the David Hartman Center for Intellectual Excellence at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. She is a lecturer in Bible Studies at Kibbutzim College and in the Department of Bible at Bar-Ilan University and is involved in training Bible teachers for the state (secular) school system. Her research focuses on literary analysis of the Bible, biblical thought and its interpretation throughout the ages, metaphor analysis, and biblical theology. 

A graduate of the Revivim honors program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, she holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Bible and Jewish Studies, a PhD from Bar-Ilan University, and completed a post-doctorate at the Center for Jewish Studies at Harvard University. She has been the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including the Presidential Fellowship, the Shoof Fellowship, and the Churgin Prize for an outstanding doctoral dissertation. Her doctoral dissertation provided a literary analysis of the stories of Daniel (chapters 1-6). 

Naama is married to Yaron and is the mother of six.
