Benji Zoller is the Director of the Hevruta Gap-Year Program at the Shalom Hartman Institute. Prior to joining Hevruta, Benji served as Hartman’s Wellspring Gap-Year Network Coordinator, was the Founding Co-Director of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah’s Gap-Year Fellowship, and taught for the Lookstein Virtual Scholars Program.

Benji holds a BA in Jewish Thought, Hebrew Literature, and Sociology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he is also completing a thesis in early Kabbalah. He studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and Yeshivat Otniel, served in the IDF as a lone soldier, and continues to serve as a combat reservist.

A native of Dallas, TX, he spent his summers at Camp Stone, first as a camper and later as a counselor and division head. In his free time, he can be found running in the Jerusalem hills. Benji lives in Baka, Jerusalem with his wife and daughter.
