Rabbah Ayala Dekel is a Research Fellow in the Kogod Research Center at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, a graduate of the Beit Midrash for Israeli Rabbis, a celebrated author, and the Head of the BINA Secular Yeshiva. She is a facilitator for parent and family groups and holds an M.A. in Educational Management and a B.A. in Criminology and Bible Studies—both completed cum laude. Her articles have been featured in various professional journals. 

Ayala has authored four bestselling books: A Not-So-Secret Society, contemporary adaptations of Talmudic tales that bring ancient stories into the world of 21st-century Israeli children; Home and Back Again, an exploration of the history and story of the Jewish community in Egypt; Fragments of the Night, based on the diary of Hayuta Busel, tells the story of the female pioneers and laborers of the Second Aliyah; and Until You Return to Me, a work giving voice to the experiences of military reserve families in current times. 

Ayala is an active member of the Yachad community in Modi’in, which integrates religious and secular residents. She is married to Yonatan, a reserve officer, and is the mother of three.
