Dr. Arielle Berger is a physician specializing in geriatric medicine. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at University of Toronto and served as a staff geriatrician at University Health Network and Sinai Health hospitals in Toronto, Canada. She completed medical school at Tel Aviv University and residency in New York City at Montefiore Medical Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital. Her clinical work focuses on optimizing function and wellbeing in older adults. Her scholarly work in medical education focuses on physician well-being and professional identity formation. She developed a novel curriculum on professionalism for residents and fellows, which she continues to disseminate across North America and study. Arielle has a BA in Jewish Studies from Stern College. Arielle is an active member of her synagogue, Shaarei Shomayim, serves on the boards of the Toronto Partnership Minyan and the Toronto Community Mikvah. She is also a Toronto Heschel School ambassador. Arielle lives in Toronto with her husband, Dan Held, and her three children.
