Arielle Levites explores what Jewish tradition tells about women, and how our images of who women can be have brought us to this #metoo moment.
Dr. Arielle Levites is a visiting Assistant Professor at Hebrew College in the Shoolman Graduate School, and an affiliated scholar at Brandeis University’s Mandel Center. She received her PhD from New York University, where her work focused on the practice of contemporary American Jewish spirituality through the lens of religious emotion. She has a BA from Brown University and an MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a recipient of the Charlotte Newcombe Dissertation Fellowship from
