It is obvious that this cannot be a quick process, but the outgoing government provided hope for those who seek religious freedom in Israel and now there is concern, that stems from the shattering of that hope, that it is possible to move the needle toward policies that promote an inclusive, pluralistic Judaism. Now that a new government, governed by Haredi and extreme right-wing parties, is poised to take power, the concerns have started to become more realistic.”
