Hartman Creators Challenge

Big ideas have long lives, but the way we talk about ideas changes constantly. We’re looking for talented people between 18 and 25 who have a fresh and creative approach to talking about the ideas that matter to North American Jews. If that’s you, we want to help you turn your concept into something great!

Who can participate?

At least one member of your team—which might just be you—must be between 18 and 25.

What are you looking for?

We’re considering ideas for podcasts, YouTube videos, and TikTok series that have something important to say to North American Jews. Hartman is about big ideas: peoplehood, liberal Zionism, Jewish identity, civic engagement. Be creative! Don’t just identify important stories and ideas, figure out how to tell them.

Do I win something?

If your project is selected, we will help you produce and promote it. We’ll partner with you by offering technical guidance, editorial support, and promotional heft including investing money into production. In short, we’ll help you turn your idea into reality—and you’ll get to work with our topnotch Digital and Communications teams to make that happen.

Okay, what do I need to do?

Show us enough of your concept to understand where the series is going and give us confidence that you can take it there. It doesn’t need to be super polished—if we like your idea we’ll help you—but your submission should give us a sense of your style, such as a sample video or an audio clip.

How do I submit my idea?
