Is this Conference for me?
The Conference is designed for learners who are interested in deepening their engagement with Jewish ideas and contemporary issues in a thoughtful learning environment. The program is intended for participants age 18 and older.
What is included in the $180 registration fee?
Your registration fee includes all educational materials, a hot kosher lunch, beverages, and snacks throughout the day – beginning with a light breakfast starting at 9:30 am*. Dietary laws will be observed. If you have dietary needs, please be sure to note that on your registration form or contact Sarah Graub. Registration fees are not tax-deductible.
Is there a dress code?
We recommend smart-casual and suggest a light jacket or sweater.
Do I need a background in Jewish study or Hebrew?
All participants are warmly encouraged to attend; no prior background in Jewish study or Hebrew knowledge is required. Hartman scholars teach at a high level, intellectually and philosophically, but do not assume any level of Jewish or Hebrew literacy. All Hebrew texts are translated.
Will there be security at Jewish Leadership Academy?
The Jewish Leadership Academy has a private security team who will be managing the event on March 22. Upon registration you will receive an email to gain access to the campus.
Where can I park?
There is ample parking on site.
Cancellation policy
Due to non-refundable program costs, we are unable to issue refunds to participants who cannot attend the program after registering. If the program is cancelled by the Shalom Hartman Institute, you will receive a full refund of registration fees. We cannot cover any costs associated with travel or accommodations, and we strongly advise that if traveling you have adequate travel insurance.
