For a long time, American Jews have loved and supported an Israel imagined as an Ashkenazi Zionist project. This Israel, however, does not reflect half of Israel’s Jewish population: Mizrahim. Our panelists will describe the real Israel beyond the western imagination and explore what this ‘Mizrahi nation’ means for Zionism and for the future of Israel-American relations.
