Emerging Jewish Thought Leaders’ Capstone Projects
Teen leadership fellows were given a deceptively simple task: write a short persuasive essay or create a piece of multimedia that grapples with big Jewish ideas.

As part of the Summer 2020 Hartman Fellowship for Emerging Jewish Thought Leaders, fellows were given a deceptively simple task: write a short persuasive essay or create a piece of multimedia that grapples with big Jewish ideas. The fellows proved themselves equal to the challenge and responded with an array of remarkable and powerful projects on a vast array of subjects, representing a wide array of political positions.

Highlighted below are a number of pieces which showed particular originality, writing, or production excellence. Views expressed are solely those of the fellows and not the Shalom Hartman Institute.
