Wake UP
Looking at how the the present government of Israel and its civilians behave at present, have not seen significant difference with other nations (USA, UK, Russia, etc). Where is God in your minds? You are God`s beloved childred!!!

Hartman, Can`t you say something positive
I just started reading your opinion pieces and see that you like to bash the Orthodox. Yet you like to write about "inclusiveness". If you got a problem with what Shlomo Benizri said, go speak with him. Your bashing does not do anything constructive.

Gay adoptions
It is a curse imposed on the proud and rich in heart to believe and live a lie. All that is a lie, is synthetic, artificial, and contrived. Here is a case that is living proof. Your three advanced degrees has only pushed you into being proud and rich in heart so that you would even come to the defense of a lie. Since you also seek to incorporate some of the goals and beliefs of your Secular/Humanists education, you are subjected to being an opportunist that seeks the best of both opposing worlds. However, no sooner that you adopt the opposite beleifs of your Judaic education that you end up forsaking the beliefs of the former so that you are no longer privy to the achieving the goal of the former. The outcome is that it becomes obvious to most readers that you have become a Secular/Humanist (who are inherently atheists), combined with a partial Judaic education. And since you relied on being an opportunist of seeking the best of both opposing worlds, whose goals and belief are opposed to each other, you have fallen into the trap of greed, which is idolatry. If you don`t know how you got into this mess it is because you refused to learn from Christ: Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Mat 11:30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light. Since being meek and lowly in heart is opposed to being proud and rich in heart, you will find a life that is real, genuine, and truth-the will of God. All that is based on a lie is synthetic, artificial, and contrived. All that is proud and rich in heart is cursed into being a lie. Having learned from Christ, we have no choice but to confess the truth - the will of God, that Jesus is Lord.

homosexual adoptions
im a dumb, uneducated hillbilly truck driver from kentucky, but even i can take a world history book and show you that any country who ever embrased homosexuality was destroyed by the Lord!Gods word said "he would hide it from the wise and prudent and reveal it to the "babes". Youre blinded by your arrogence.humble yourself and seek GOD!

shlomo benizri
Has anyone out there read Genesis chapters 18 and 19 lately regarding God`s judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah? Where are these two cities today? I would think that since God does not change, what He has revealed in His book should be the criteria in this matter, not fallen man and his opinions. Mr.Benizri should not be denigrated because he reminded us that God is still involved in matters of His creation. In reading Mr. Hartman`s article concerning Mr. Benizri, I am reminded of the saying, "He who is about to tell the truth should have one foot in the stirrup." May your horse be swift, Mr. Benizri.

Benizri
People like Benizri are acting like horses in the old days who were wearing those patches beside their eyes. They are only looking at one side of their path. Don`t forget we are all humans and we all are children of god.

D. Hartman appeal
Thank you, Donniel Hartman, for your important comment. It underlines once more the imminent necessity to disaggregate STATE from SYNAGOGUE in Israel. Israel`s Geulàh, as mentioned in the Roll of Independence, will not be a result of a fundamental, religious Shass or any religious party participating in political decisions or responsibility. It`s high time to evolve from Theocracy to Democracy and become a modern, enlightened free state. Thanks again. ruben.siedner@uni-tuebingen.de

Granted for benizri to say that it was definitely because of the gay/lesbian issue is foolish. However, G-d himself is not happy about gays and lesbians. He calls it an abomination. Not that many things in the Torah are called an abomination.
moish, usa, Mar 7 2008 8:46:00:000AM

Bible: Read it sometime
..not only does it condemn homosex, but lies, theft, fear, drunkeness, adultery, paganism, etc. Get the point? Glass houses? Messiah Jesus said if a man looks on a woman to lust he has already committed adultery and so "There is none righteous, no not one." This includes Benizri. Get Jesus.

Earthquakes
Laugh at earthquakes? Ezekiel 38:19/Revelation 6:12 (same quake) shows an earthquake which shakes the whole world centered in Israel during the war with Iran-Persia`s king Ahmadinejad. Baby earthquakes sign of the mother to come. Ezekiel 38:5 Iran-Persia leader among terrorist nations.

Homosexual Adoption is illegal
Homosexual Adoption is illegal according to the Torah. Leviticus 20:13 says If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them must be put to death. You can`t adopt if you`re dead.

Hillul Hashem
I wouldn`t want to consider myself a prophet because most of them got stoned. The letter of the law killeth, the Spirit giveth life. Maybe that which gives life is of God. Jesus came in His Father`s name, so Jehovah`s name must be Lord Jesus Christ. When Israel gets a grip on that revelation, there will be a real earthquake.Wm

Homosexual adoption and earthquakes
I like what D. Hartman said about Jewish law and tradition saying nothing about adoption by homosexuals. Who appointed Benizri the arbiter of our morals? Not me - or the people I know!
Joseph Cohen, Israel, Mar 4 2008 5:05:00:000PM

Benizri
This is the proper response to Benizri`s nutty comments. His misappropriation of Judaism is way off-base. Thanks, Donniel Hartman, for setting him - and us - straight.
