This summer in jerusalem
Excellent talk which echoes my experience in Jerusalem this last month of April where i attended several public lectures of the highest quality, at the Begin center, and oyher institutions of adult learning open to all and attended by many segments of the Israeli public. I wish this could be replicated in Huts l`aaretz as well. You give us a wonderful example to follow. Abigail Hirsch, Montreal Shalom Foundation for Healing in Community

Jerusalem
Your work in convening the Rabbis in Jerusalem is right on and an outstanding model for us all to follow.

Tolerance?
From a very quick perusal of this essay, a couple of questions emerge: 1)I wonder how characatures and stereotypes of other Jews (ultra-orthodox)is helpful, even if the goal -- I suppose -- is to contrast your enlightened selves with them. This especially holds true when you make your readers believe that the morons who riot are anything other than a tiny, bizarre segment that does not represent ultra orthodox. How would your us-against-them rhetoric be consistent with tolerance and inclusivity?
